First Connect Health is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Renton, Washington.

Job Description & Requirements

Experience & Certifications

• Experience Required: Minimum 2 years MedSurg experience
• Required Certifications:
  • BLS Certification
  • NIHSS

Unit Overview – 3 North

• Number of Beds: 43 private beds
• Nurse-to-Patient Ratios:
  • 1:4–5 for days and nights
  • Assignments of 5 are rotated for fairness
• Patient Population:
  • COPD
  • CHF
  • Pneumonia
  • GI conditions
  • Renal patients (ARF, HD, Peritoneal Dialysis – dialysis contracted out)
  • ETOH withdrawal

Skills & Clinical Responsibilities

• Minimum 2 years of recent MedSurg experience required
• Drip Management:
  • Heparin dosing calculated by pharmacy; RN adjusts rate
  • Morphine drips for end-of-life care
• Telemetry:
  • Remote telemetry monitoring
  • Monitor techs notify nursing staff
